Crash Dev: Where's the *real* money in iPhone apps? Remember Web 1.0?...

Great service idea, Chris. I agree that brands are starting to take note and expect the cycle to be much compressed compared to Web 1.0. Do you think that systems integrators will be faster off the mark to step into this space? For example Accenture snapping up Nokia's S40 dev shop--early indicator, or outlier?

Good question, Daniel - there aren't many iPhone dev shops that have
the heft to deliver the necessary impact to a corporate acquiror just
yet, but I can think of a few that will likely be attractive targets
if they keep adding capacity at the same rate.

Excellent concept Chris! Further proof of this thinking is that I came upon this post via my (well known brand) LinkedIn iPhone app. As a designer, I have been seeing similar work solicitation for iPhone app work as I did back in the dot com boom. Excellent observations. Any plans to include designer profiles on AppStoreHQ?

Thanks for the feedback, Hauke. We're definitely seeing interest from
the broader ecosystem (e.g., designers, artists, developer tools) but
for now are focused on the developer / publisher audience. If we can
make headway there we'll definitely broaden our reach to include other
    key players in the market.
